On a very important day
I was presented to the priest
Who asked for my name
And they asked for baptism for me

On the day of my baptism
My forehead was marked
With the sign of the Holy Cross
Forever, eternally

On the day of my baptism
I received in my heart
And on my head
A Holy Anointing

On the day of my baptism
Saints were invoked
I received an anointing on my chest
And the strength of Christ

Blessed be the Lord God
For the olive oil

In the battle of faith

On the day of my baptism
My parents and godparents
Renounced Satan for me
Professed the faith for me

But today what they did
Freely I do
I renew the promises
Of my Holy Baptism

I renounce sin
I renounce the devil
To all that divides
To follow Jesus

And I proclaim: Yes, I believe
In God the Creator Father
In Jesus born of the Virgin
In the spirit of love

Then they brought me
To the baptismal font
They poured water on me
I was washed from evil

The Divine Holy Spirit
Took my heart
I was completely restored
I had a new connection with heaven

I was baptized in the Spirit of God
I was soaked in His love
The gift of faith renewed me

Such a great love
Expanded my heart
I was free from evil
From original sin

On the day of my baptism
I received an anointing
On my head
And in my heart

On the day of my baptism
My garments were white
And they became much more
Whiter than snow

I received the light of Christ
I was illuminated
I am the salt of the earth, the light of the world
I gained new life

Priest, prophet, and king
This is my calling
Consecrated to the Virgin Mary
You will always have her by my side
