Green Path
Today I walked again
Down that green path
That fades into the valley
With my lonely sadness.
Today I prayed again
At the door of the chapel
And I asked your little virgin
To help me find you again.
On the green path, green path
That leads to the chapel
Since you left me
The daisies cry in sorrow.
The fountain has dried up
The lilies are all wilted
On the green path, green path
That leads to the chapel.
Today I walked again
Down that green path
That fades into the valley
Alongside my happiness.
Today I carved again
Our names in the oak tree
I climbed up the hill
And it made me cry for you.
On the green path, green path
That leads to the chapel
Since you left me
The daisies cry in sorrow.
The fountain has dried up
The lilies are all wilted
On the green path, green path
That leads to the chapel.
