El Sol No Regresa
Diana Reyes
The Sun Doesn't Return
A few days ago I lost
In some bar
Half of my soul
Plus the fifteen percent tip.
It's not that alcohol
Is the best medicine
But it helps to forget
When you don't see a way out.
Today I try to tell you
That everything is fine
Even if you don't believe it
Even at this point
One last effort
Is not worth it.
Today the good memories
Fall down the stairs
And after several tequilas
The clouds go away
But the sun doesn't return.
Room dreams
From a roadside hotel
And a few raindrops
That I keep in this suitcase
Roll on the mattress
Of my already deserted bed
It's the best solution
For the headache.
Today I try to tell you
That everything is fine
Even if you don't believe it
Even at this point
One last effort
Is not worth it.
Today the good memories
Fall down the stairs
And after several tequilas
The clouds go away
But the sun doesn't return.
Today I try to tell you
That everything is fine
Even if you don't believe it
Even at this point
One last effort
Is not worth it.
Today the good memories
Fall down the stairs
And after several tequilas
The clouds go away
But the sun doesn't return.
