Heavy darkness bound the whole earth
Fear reigned over souls back then
Until one day when He, the Son of God
Descended to us saving us!
The miracle happened, we have a King
Born to love and save
Jesus is not gone because the old manger
Is now the image that beats in the chest
And today You enlighten us
Heavy darkness, only You have dispelled
When the manger welcomed You, Lord from infinity
And the angels sang, shepherds rejoiced
Their carol has enveloped us even today
We go caroling around the houses
Bringing you the news
For Jesus was born to us
To enlighten our hearts!
