Camino Largo

Long Road
I search in the serene nights of my land
The sad note that springs from an accordion
To feel in love again
I come from the past of verses and songs
I look at the path of my ancestors
And find that they suffered because of love
I beg the wind and the night
To give me strength not to love you
The soul cries and in the end I sense
That your love will cause my death
I will look towards the sky and among the mountains
My thoughts will fly far away from here
With a firm step seeking a road
Where I can stop to forget about you
Under a new sky, sow new life
One of hope where I can be happy
I know I can't find it, that long road
Long like my sorrows, sorrows that hurt me
If my words keep the breath
The old traces of my life will sing
Desire dies, you are no longer by my side
And the love that infinite stars will cry
Eyes so sad to look mournful
Only wounded feelings will remain
Dawn breaks and a new day arrives
A thousand daggers pierce my soul
What will become of my hope
Please return my calm
I will look towards the sky and among the mountains
My thoughts will fly far away from here
With a firm step seeking a road
Where I can stop to forget about you
Under a new sky, sow new life
One of hope where I can be happy
I know I can't find it, that long road
Long like my sorrows, sorrows that hurt me
