El Pasadiscos
Diego Verdaguer
The Jukebox
She chose songs on a jukebox
I was having a coffee at the counter
I saw her leave a coin and her hand was trembling
But, despite the murmur, I heard my voice
Then I lit a cigarette so she could see me
She kept listening to my voice on the record
I wanted to approach her to smile at her
I saw her quietly crying over that song
Why cry? Love is like that, it comes and goes
There's no solution, only memories and some songs
Why cry? Love is like that, it comes and goes
Soon you'll see that what happened will be forgotten
She remained leaning and wrapped in her sorrow
But when she suddenly turned, she recognized me
And I slowly approached through the crowd
I saw her eyes speaking of loneliness
And gently I told her that it happens to everyone
I tried to explain in my own way that the song
Wasn't composed for a girl to cry
If I had known, I would have never sung it
Why cry? Love is like that, it comes and goes
There's no solution, only memories and some songs
Why cry? Love is like that, it comes and goes
Soon you'll see that what happened will be forgotten
Why cry? Love is like that, it comes and goes
There's no solution, only memories and some songs
Why cry? Love is like that, it comes and goes
Soon you'll see that what happened will be forgotten
