I'm from Sinaloa
From where the palm trees touch the sky
It was the place where my mom gave me life
And an agricultural heart was the one who saw me grow
There were no luxuries in the house, but there was no hunger either
On the table there was food for the whole family
I remember that well
In the furrows of the yellow gold
I knew what hard work was
And in the trucks I rode with my dad
A cap and a checkered shirt
Was what you saw in the fields
And a water jug quenched my thirst
How beautiful it was when the harvest came
I rode around all the fields in trucks
And this is dedicated to all my fellow countrymen
Up, Sinaloa!
Truly there is nothing more beautiful
Than remembering that work in the field
To buy the bicycle with the cotton picking
We didn't have the luck of inheriting
But we did have the desire to not settle
To one day live better
And even though the Italians may dress my feet
I miss more those worn-out shoes
That I wore to go study
No matter how many fancy meats I eat
I crave some beans with tortillas
And dried meat is the best delicacy
Proudly coming from fine people
Fortunately, I'm from Sinaloa
