L'incendie À Rio
Sacha Distel
The Fire in Rio
In the middle of the night a siren
Calls all the firefighters to the fire
And all of Rio waking up
Sees the coffee factory burning
There's no time to lose
Otherwise the whole neighborhood will burn
But there
Meanwhile at the fire station
We hear the firefighters shouting
What have we done with the hoses?
The nozzles and the big ladder
What have we done with the hoses?
Don't panic, we need them
But the fire over there is raging
And the sky is black with smoke
And all the people in the floors
Are saying: What are the firefighters doing?
There's no time to lose
Otherwise the whole neighborhood will burn
But there
Meanwhile at the fire station
We hear the firefighters shouting
What have we done with the hoses?
The nozzles and the big ladder
What have we done with the hoses?
Don't panic, we need them
In the early morning we could tell
The whole neighborhood had burned
There were only ruins left
Over hundreds of square meters!
When suddenly in the dim light
We saw a firefighter rushing over
Who exclaimed: I come on behalf of the captain
To tell you not to get upset
We found the hoses
The nozzles and the big ladder
But we're out of gas
And we're looking for the crank
