Life is tough and breaks us inside
How to avoid the pain if I can't find the courage?
The sad death of his mother left him adrift
In a secluded life with a captive illusion
The habit of gloomy streets where innocence decays
Innocence was the science that uncovers reality
Surviving at all costs on the narrow tightrope
Prisoner of the cruelty that humanity strips away
He made his heart of stone
But found a reason
To feed his soul
And season it
Two friends who would become his brothers
His shelter
His comfort
His hope
And his hands
Dreaming of being able to gaze at that beautiful sky
And the moon that was denied to them living underground

Fate offered them a risky deal
Which Levi agreed to
Putting their existence in danger on the tough mission
As clear freedom had become an illusion

Infiltrated in the Scout Regiment
Planning in the shadows every slight movement
He never thought that the day he saw the birds fly

Causing a serious harm he couldn't contain
And tore his soul apart
Unleashing all his power thus losing his calm
With his swords drawn he swore he would seek revenge
In the name of humanity he advances with conviction
His skill led him to become a noble captain
Strong as an oak he will tear apart any titan
And although he carries the sad memory of the mist
That took away the smiles of those he held dear
He always walks firm in the face of harsh reality
An example of talent, discipline, and loyalty
The skill of his movements will cut off heads
Slicing the great threat into millions of pieces

With time he made new bonds and comrades
With his troop he gallops through fateful days
His heart of ice found warmth again
In his squad that admired and respected his valor
But betrayal came into play
A titan hid within the Legion
And although his squad fought with decision and bravery
They would fall apart despite their daring
The cold news would make Levi explode with rage
Let his power burst and defeat the titan
But that wouldn't bring back his friends
Who fell without even deserving that punishment
Keeping their insignias as the only memory
He lifted his gaze with the purpose to move forward
For only their superficial bodies perished
And their souls accompany him in every step he takes
