Carta Al Cielo

Don Omar Don Omar

Letter to Heaven

Last night while seeking GOD
I read that GOD's Angel descends to Campar
Around those who fear Him and protects them
I asked that same angel to carry my message
We will never forget you
It will never be the same without you
We will always remember you
Rest in peace

You who can fly, take this letter to the same sky in your hands
That can help console my broken and comfortless soul
And now that you're leaving, it's my turn to write everything I wanted to say
Time was short, death came soon
What hurts me the most, friend, is seeing you leave
I started to look at life in a different way
My sky is cloudy, I don't trust people, everyone gives me condolences, everyone gives me advice
I'm dead inside, although I keep the reflexes alive
I write you this letter because in you I saw the opportunity to speak to my brother with sincerity
And to say that I miss him, that I'm still standing, that I represent him on the earth wherever he may be
I can't find happiness anymore because it left with you, but who takes away so many things I learned from you
Above all, to be a man and not be afraid of anything, your blood runs in my veins, that's why you live in me
You're still alive and through memories I remember when there's a way out for everything, when you said you're with me, never worry, in the valley of shadow and death you'd give your life for me

You who can fly, take this letter to the same sky in your hands
That can help console my broken and comfortless soul
And now that you're leaving, it's my turn to write everything I wanted to say
Time was short, death came soon
What hurts me the most, friend, is seeing you leave

A damn 19, I have a bad feeling
And a voice that says something bad will happen to you
But how do I avoid it, Lord, if there are no fortune-tellers here
You who know everything, tell me what will happen, I only remember hearing your voice asking for blessings
I filled with worry when you walked out the door and a phone call confirmed that what I loved the most wouldn't be back
I still keep the photo of when you and I were kids and it throws me into a nostalgia that won't go away. I still have your number saved in my phone, I spend time waiting to see if you'd call
Knowing I can't hug you, only bring you flowers, I have no one to advise me when I make mistakes, I just have to resign myself and understand you won't come back, ask the old friend in heaven to rest in peace
You're walking to heaven
God willing, you've settled your affairs
That you've paid your dues
And received Christ into your life
God willing, you've settled your affairs
That you've paid your dues
And received Christ into your life

You who can fly, take this letter to the same sky in your hands
That can help console my broken and comfortless soul
And now that you're leaving, it's my turn to write everything I wanted to say
Time was short, death came soon
What hurts me the most, friend, is seeing you leave

The word of GOD says in the book of Romans, chapter 10, verse 9 and 10
THAT IF YOU CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH THAT JESUS IS LORD AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED
FOR WITH THE HEART ONE BELIEVES UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND WITH THE MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION
Don't let this song become just part of your musical world
Take it to your spiritual world, confess and be saved
