El Reto

The Challenge
Under the palm of winter I feel the sun,
Like an ally in existential gloom,
If there's a sword for every heart,
There will be looks that banish all evil,
Perhaps one day there will be feathers with mercy,
That don't defame by gambling honor,
Because that ink is black blood without truth,
That always finds a good deal in terror,
It's the sadness that lets the light shine through,
Of the joy we still need to go through,
May it be late when I can see again,
Maybe the night or the morning yet to come,
Maybe we are financing with pain,
The beautiful life we have left to live,
Perhaps a child will return us the passion,
Of having been born and not just alive because,
Was it then fair the reason,
Of the defeated by fist and dagger,
And those who depart like gods their evil,
Will be mortal like you and me,
It's the sadness that lets the light shine through,
Of the joy we still need to go through,
May it be late when I can see again,
Maybe the night or the morning yet to come,
There's a challenge, there's integrity,
There are things that can awaken them,
It's the sadness that lets the light shine through,
It's the joy we still need to go through,
May it be late when I can see again,
Maybe the night or the morning yet to come.
