Pocahontas
Droow
Pocahontas
Peace for all her land
But in war, she would lose again
She fought to break chains
To what she felt and to be able to love
She fought to break chains
To what she felt and to be able to love
She sought peace for all her land
But in war, she would lose again
Her emotions made her fall
Days she didn't even want to know about herself
Until we talked and without even looking at each other, she had faith
I told her how beautiful she was
But even with wings, she didn't know how to fly
At first, she feared I was just another intruder, another outlaw
But over time, she held onto her star
She knew she loved and wanted to love
Pocahontas, free in soul and land
Her heart the only thing to conquer
Her village lived in her, she looked without fear and made it rain
Her strong features marked in her character didn't make me fear
Brunettes like those that no longer exist
A treasure I found
Princess of modern times
Believes in old-fashioned love too
Rejects princes from a fairy tale
She chose me to write her story
She wants her story with me
She gave me pages to fill
Her art is a friend
I wrote music for my most real muse
And I didn't ask for her
And now I don't want to let her go, and now I won't let her go
I told her how beautiful she was
But even with wings, she didn't know how to fly
At first, she feared I was just another intruder, another outlaw
But over time, she held onto her star
She knew she loved and wanted to love
Pocahontas, free in soul and land
Her heart the only thing to conquer
Her village lived in her, she looked without fear and made it rain
Her strong features marked in her character didn't make me fear
Brunettes like those that no longer exist
A treasure I found
