Historia De Valientes
Duelo
Story of the Brave
Both were born brave and died as brave
like in the wild west they fought
in a duel without advantages and face to face
because neither was afraid
like roosters in the ring killing each other
Little town of Moctezuma from my land of San Luis Potosi
witness of the tragedy that afternoon in May
the two men of few words went to the edge
letting the bullets speak, responding with their lives
each with a .44 Magnum and a .357
at the same time they sang a melody of death
the two men bent over and those who saw them say
that they exchanged smiles before kissing the ground
They are no longer among us, they left us that day
as they were very few with such great bravery
with tears in our eyes I dedicate this melody
to the memory of Juan Zoto and also Ruben Fria
It's not that they were braggarts
it's that the devil was loose and also their pants
they had them well put on
they died because they were men
At the town's exit there are two crosses
with their names in the same cemetery
