Mundo Ahí Te Quedas

I was born there in the hot land
Among hills of the green mountains
I know poverty from childhood
Where I am, I never forget my people
Today, blessed be God, working
In my pocket, there are no missing bills

Working in the United States
I have achieved what I dreamed of before
Those of you who work daily
Know well the cost of making it through
Today, I don't have extra money
But very few things are missing for me

With the money I bring in my pocket
And a Barbie to pass the time
I don't like to be exaggerated
But don't think it's a tale either
If someone says I'm a big spender
It's my money, and I'm happy like this

I'm going to enjoy the good life
And spend as much as needed
I'm not one of those who save it all
And complain about everything daily
When you die, you don't take anything
What's left for those who haven't worked

If money is not abundant, it's okay
I'm content with what I have
I don't give life problems
As long as I can keep working
And if you're waiting for money from above
You'll keep pinching yourself

When I die, I want them to take me
To the land where I was born
And without tears, bury me
