Alma Chayuera
Duo Coplanacu
Soul of Chayuera
I'm going to the river
To sit on the sand
And enjoy the freshness
Of the serene morning
I want to see the fish
Shining in the morning sun
Their gills pulsating
And smell the chayuero wind
The shining dorados
Are traces of the dawns
That on the beach sand
Treasure their hearts
Blood and foam on the sand
Heart of the same river
Silver and gold scales
Emblems of my love
I'm going to the river
Singing the chacarera
And I carry within my chest
All my chayuera longings
I want to see the challueras
With their skirts above the knee
When they scare the mojarras
Splashing near the shore
I want to see on the water's surface
The dark catfish swimming
And feel myself in the water
To my pains oblivious
