Cachi Mayu
Duo Coplanacu
Cachi Mayu
This chacarera is sad
born in the Salado,
stubborn and creole in the air and the sun,
my guitar has tamed it.
My hopes are reborn,
the soul is awakening
galloping with my horse
along the Cachy Mayu.
From the east to the west,
I mark my path,
with my companion from sunrise to sunset
and always supporting the river.
Chacarera companion,
chacarera of the Salado,
in my solitude for better or for worse
life has brought us together.
If the coyuyos don't sing
the carob doesn't ripen,
nor does our illusion ripen
when a love is stolen from us.
Living free and in the mountains
seems to be my destiny,
playing the guitar and this song,
always along those paths.
When the sun is setting
and the night is approaching
this chacarera with my singing
dominates the whole jungle.
Chacarera companion,
chacarera of the Salado,
in my solitude for better or for worse
life has brought us together.
