Tradiciones de Mi Pueblo.
Duo Sacha Sonqo'y
Traditions of My Town
From my town in Santiago
I have ancestral customs
Like the coyote singing
Whispering through the carnivals
As soon as I wake up
With the Sun on the horizon
You can already hear the chacareras
Sung in the middle of the mountains
A countryman on a donkey
Heading to work
While smoking a chala
Through the salt flats
The prayer is coming
You can already hear the chacareras
With the courtyard watered
The first one is about to begin
With a calling drum
And a violin from Salamanca
Guitarists accompanying
A Salavin singer
Zambas, cats, chacareras
Malambos and a hidden one
For the boys and girls
And the most skilled gaucho
In my town, they celebrate
The ancestral customs
So that traditional values
Are never lost
I am happy being a singer
A true Santiago native
I ask Tata Yaya
Do not forget my town
