What do I feel?
As if chains were surrounding my body
What did they do to me?
With my ideas, with who I was
They put it through your ears and through your eyes on TV
It seeps into your veins
If you believe what they want you to believe

We consume garbage
Served to us on plates called news
Feeding doubts is easier to control
Don't lose sight of it, they will try
To paralyze the impulse of feeling that you can rise

You can't escape without looking back
They think they load their weapons with good ideas
And they keep eating the truth
Destroying reality
Your reality is what you want to see

Those who work are afraid of losing their jobs
Those who don't work are afraid of never finding a job
Who isn't afraid of hunger, is afraid of food
Drivers are afraid of walking and pedestrians are afraid of being run over
Democracy is afraid to remember and language is afraid to speak
Civilians are afraid of the military, the military are afraid of lack of weapons, weapons are afraid of lack of wars
It's the time of fear

Fear of women of men's violence and fear of men of women without fear
Fear of thieves, fear of the police
Fear of the door without a lock, of time without clocks, of children without television, fear of the night without sleeping pills and fear of the day without waking pills
Fear of the crowd, fear of loneliness, fear of what was and what could be, fear of dying, fear of living
