Dias y Noches

Days and Nights
Who am I going to thank for the long sleepless nights
Who am I going to say thanks to life,
if my lovely dancer and her smile are no longer here,
her body next to mine without a shirt
If I can't thank for her hands, her caresses,
her gaze
if she doesn't want to see me anymore
if she's tired of shouting
if I couldn't write her a poem
for whom my urge to cry
if her boat is no longer in my port
Days and nights that don't stop passing and I wait
Days and nights without talking, I don't want
Days and nights with the sun burning on my body
waiting to see her return
Here I am and for what
sitting watching the sun set
dancing in the arms of this life of mine
why keep swimming until reaching the distance
if my lighthouse is no longer on the other shore
I can't find where to place her memory and my caresses,
the sad songs, her photographs, her photographs
if she doesn't want to see me anymore
if she's tired of shouting
if I couldn't write her a poem
For whom my urge to cry
if she wants to live peacefully for once
Days and nights that don't stop passing and I wait
Days and nights without talking, I don't want
Days and nights with the sun burning on my body
Days and nights in front of the sea
I don't want
Days and nights that don't stop passing and I wait
Days and nights without talking, I don't want
Days and nights with the sun burning on my body
Days and nights in front of the sea
Waiting to see her return
