Inmensa Soledad
Edgar Oceransky
Immense Loneliness
You open the window early in the morning,
you haven't been able to rest
you take the dove, tie a message
to its leg without knowing if it will arrive
I open the window, a dove arrives
and an unsigned message
"don't leave me alone, I ask you from wherever you are
come and find me"
What do I do, run, fly, jump,
should I go look for you?
What do I do, close the window
and start to forget you?
What do I do with the desperation of not finding
a way to reach where you are?
I had already heard of strange messages
that arrived from there
where humans die sitting
in front of a window with their immense loneliness
What do I do if it's too late?
What do I do if I don't know where to start?
I tie a short message to the dove
without knowing if it will arrive
What do I do, run, fly, jump,
should I go look for you?
What do I do, close the window
and start to forget you?
What do I do with the desperation of not finding
a way to reach where you are?
What do I do with the feeling of immense loneliness?
