Mi Día En El Calvario
Edgardo Rivera
My Day At Calvary
A great sculptor carved a cross
With Jesus crucified there
People passing by
Saw nothing special
In that work of Calvary
But a man
Went to the feet of that cross
And kneeling there, looked at Jesus
But his tears
He couldn't contain
Because that was his way of
Looking at Him
Lord, I want my day at Calvary
To die there to this life of sin
Not to rise
Until I can say
It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me
The greatest event
To humanity, was that
Great day at Calvary
Because God Himself
Descended
And in dying, paid the price of sin
There was no one
To go in His place
We were cast out; from heavenly glory
But He provided a way
And by His blood
Now we can return
