Run and Manage

Big Totor's got a thing going with Totoche
Who’s got the goods
And keeps it tight
He’s not some soft dude, a loser in the game
Hiding away
Like a lazy guy
Like a bureaucrat
He runs the show
The essentials and the extras
Everything’s set, everything’s planned
During work hours
He’s not a man, he’s a demon
But outside of his job
He’s not a man, he’s a sheep.

After work, if she wants to put in extra hours
That’s her business, and honestly, it’s not his concern
Like Totor says, it doesn’t hurt me
For the cash she makes on the side
We’re cool, like Totor says
Don’t act like a fool
Like Totor says, I let her spend it
As she pleases, to save it or invest it
To speculate, to gamble
To buy bonds or real estate
Following the market trends
Of coal or steel
I don’t have the right to stick my nose in
Run and manage!

While the others are out playing cards and drinking,
With their buddies
In the bars,
Totor’s keeping tabs on everything Totoche tells him
And doing the math
In his office
For the skimming and the profit
Before she even speaks, he’s got it figured out,
There’s no messing with him,
He’s not a man, he’s a taxi.
Unless there’s a mistake or an omission,
At the first dispute,
The token machine
Is ready for distribution.

In business, if you let things slide, you’re screwed,
Like Totor says: First, when things go south,
You gotta go around and hit hard.
But once you’ve played the game,
Like Totor says, it’d be a shame
To act like a fool.
When it’s settled, what’s the point of holding a grudge,
Like Totor says, once he’s got the upper hand,
He slaps on some fancy fabric
And tells her to ease her mind:
Injured on the job,
It’s a work accident…
Tomorrow, you’re not going to work.
Run and manage!

And despite that, there are days when Totoche
Gets her head straight
And takes control,
So one night she was seen with Tatave,
And what’s worse,
Totor found out!
Like Totor says, whether we’re rich,
A nobody, a prince, or whatever,
Everyone’s got their own, everyone’s got their due,
Otherwise, morals are shot,
So when they left the restaurant
Tatave found himself face to face with Totor,
Who said, looking him in the eye,
We’re gonna settle this, just the two of us.

In business, if you let things slide, you’re screwed,
But Tatave said: Totor, I can’t take it anymore,
I swear, Totor, you’re in the wrong,
With the girl, I have no regrets
We’re cool, and when we’re out,
I’ll slip you a hundred in the hallway,
So Totor said: I’ve got nothing against you,
You see, my friend, if you hadn’t tipped me off,
We’d be tearing each other apart,
But I couldn’t have guessed
Since you never gave me anything,
In the end, you can take off,
But she’s the one who’s gonna pay.
Run and manage!
