Sister Anne, do you see anything coming?

I see soldiers armed to the teeth
Ready to die and to kill
All around, I only see tears
The world seems to get used to it
I see, more violent than the plague
Hatred covering the horizon
Men tearing each other apart, hating
Borders, machine guns, prisons
Love that has nothing left to do
Has just left us in turn
On earth, it was solitary
Love needs love

I see children without their mother
I see parents without their kids
And farmers without their land
I see land without farmers
I see big empty houses
And big emptiness in the homes
People with pale faces
Walking without singing any songs
Men trying to smile
Women with such fearful eyes
Old folks who can’t laugh anymore
Young ones who are already old

Sister Anne, do you see anything coming?

I see a great light
That seems to come from far away
I see a child and his mother
My God, how far they are, how far...
Here they come closer to the earth
The child has grown, I see him
He comes to share our sorrows
Already he brings his cross
Soon his divine anger
Will chase the demons away forever
Soon he will return to earth
Life, compassion, and love
