Salmo V

Hear my cry, oh! King, my God
For I will pray to you with more fervor
Oh! Lend an ear to my pleas, oh! Lord
I lift my meditation to the heavens

In the long night, I will watch for you
In the morning, you will hear my voice
And in your temple, with more fervor, I will cry out
Oh! Pour your blessings upon us

I will enter your house with greatness
In your temples, I will bow down before you
Guide my steps in your justice and royalty
Oh! Defeat the enemy for me

Oh blessed God
You take no pleasure in wickedness
Your word is a sword and shield
It exterminates all evil from this world
And keeps in righteousness those who are faithful
