Nostradamus
Eduardo Dusek
Nostradamus
On that morning
I woke up late, in a bad mood
With all that I know
I lit a candle
I opened the window
And was amazed
Some buildings were exploding
People were running
I said good morning
And ignored
I called
For any touch to have
And there was none
No one answered
I said: "God, Nostradamus
Forces of good and evil
Voodoo, calamity, judgment day
Is it you?"
Suddenly in front of me
The aluminum frame fell
Along with smoked glass
What to do? Everything collapsed
Everything started to decay
I shouted, no one heard
And I even whispered!
The day turned into night
The sun went beyond
I need someone
I go to the kitchen
I find Carlota, the cook, dead
In front of my foot, Zé
I spoke, I shouted, I begged:
"Get up and serve some coffee
The world has ended!"
