Huacas Del Sol y La Luna
Eduardo Gatti
Temples of the Sun and the Moon
This is the night when magic
And mystery have called me
Are your dark eyes
From the open blue window
A path was rising
Are your brown feet
Silver dream was that day
Tender night and a sunrise
That left
To the sidereal archives
I ask them
If I will find you again
And long nights walking
Without seeing a sign
I ask have you loved again like that
The sudden, fleeting star
Heat from you woman
Who didn't say goodbye
Wanting to share eternity
Behind time there
In its stained castle
Fairies embroidering
The sky and the sea
They make dreams to penetrate
The mystery of the breeze
And of your skin
Serene night warm lullaby of bones
Calcined by yesterday's fire
They will scatter once again through space
And I will depart with you to the Sun
Temples of the Sun and the Moon
Just a cry of salt
That lulls that
Peruvian desert
With its dusty path
Your feet are the hope
Of a lost virtue
Atavistic and precious like you
To the sidereal archives
I ask them
If I will find you again
