Everything works out for the best
And sometimes we can't see how it can be
Surprises that life has in store for us
Won't catch God off guard

Our Father knows what's best
But His way isn't my way
And if sadness comes around
And no one seems to care
Let me then remember

God is too wise to be fooled
God is so good, He won't fail
And when I don't understand
When I can't see Him
Or even feel His hand
I will trust

He knows the future
And holds it in His loving hands
Our hope is in God
In Him, I've found my safety

His love is incomparable
It will guide us in peace
And just like the potter is shaping us
To one day be like He is

He is simply faithful
He knows what's best for me
And when I don't understand
When I can't see Him
Or even feel His hand
I will trust
