Na Fé de Jó

In Job's Faith
Without escalation, violence grows, and fear prevails
It is not newspapers, cinema or soap operas that prevail on the screen
It's real, it's normal, it's a favela, it's an alley, it's a dark alley
Trout, it's a dirt road
We're getting to humility, hold on
I'm not a bandit, nor do I pretend to be a thief! No!
I just rhyme, crazy, some truths from the backlands
NVS
2009, brother, this is the scene
Hypocrisy, evil, lots of talk
Blah, blah, blah, crazy, I'm cool
I only have faith in my natural God
I know the world isn't going to change, partner
So stand up, brother, stand fast
Don't fall for these ideas of stealing
From trafficking, your brother going there and killing
Who are you to say it's difficult?
That doesn't have the strength to get out of the precipice?
If you don't have faith then there's no point in crying
Because it's written in your words, let's go
The enemy wants your good, but that's how it is
Eight in hand, with blood in the eye in the darkness
Or lying down with the body pierced
His mother crying in the midst of several allies
Have you ever heard, partner, one day Job's faith
If you haven't heard it, go to the Bible, it's better
There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job
Obedient man, fearful, faithful to the commandments of God
One day the sons of man were in the presence of God
And Satan appeared among the sons of men
The Bible tells us that God asked him this
Where do you come from?
And the Devil answered God thus, oh
To roam and wander the Earth
Then God spoke to the enemy like this: Did you look down there, did you see my servant Job?
The enemy spoke to God like this: Yes, I saw
Then God said: That man is faithful
That man I am proud of, fearful, obedient
Then the Devil said to God, look
He is like this because he has a good family, good animals
Health, good children
Let me touch that life of his, that family
What he likes, to see if he doesn't murmur
And do not blaspheme to your face
God spoke to the Devil like this
So go, I just don't give you permission to interfere in that man's life
Brother, the Devil came to Earth, with the authority that was given by God
To touch that life, to move that life
The Devil then, brother, used Job's neighbors to steal all the animals that Job had
Then a wind came from the desert and blew down the house
And inside that house 10 of Job's children were having lunch, 7 men and 3 women
All 10 died
The most religious person I know, when his son hurts his little finger
He's already starting to murmur
He says that God doesn't look, that God doesn't care
You take care then
Because Job knows what he did, he tore his garment
He shaved his head and prostrated himself on the ground
Worshiping and praising God
But the enemy was not happy, no
The enemy went and gave Job a disease, leprosy
And Job was on the ground, leprous, sick, almost dying
The elders of the time, elders like those there who crucified Jesus Christ
Or like these elders of today
Who use theology to curse many things and make money
Instead of talking about Jesus Christ
These elders told Job that Job was in sin
Job spoke to them like this, oh
I'm not, I'm not, if this is happening it's because God is allowing it
Job's wife said to him: Job, you are sick
We lost our children, we lost our animals
We have lost our servants, curse your God there, oh, and die!
He spoke to the woman like this
Woman, if I was born naked from my mother's womb
Naked I can die too
If God gave me everything I had
God has the authority to touch, take away, do
Whatever he wants
And he will not stop being God
So no. Praise and glory be to my God
Prostrate, worshiping God
Do you know what God did, brother?
God was proud, God took pleasure in that life
The Enemy did not win
And do you know what God did?
He restored, God gave him double everything he had
God raised that man
The Bible says that he was one of the richest men at that time
And this is how God will do with you
Just stop mumbling, close your mouth
Just praise, just praise
God gives freedom to the enemy to do whatever he wants
Until the day you, warrior, put your foot down
In the midst of war, hatred and greed
That flame of hope is still alive
Of having good children, good brothers
Of having good parents, of good education
The Bible teaches how to do the lesson
Where to step to walk in the darkness
There is no point in trying to solve the world's problems
Your own steps are walking feeling a deep abyss
Salvation is independent called
Your prayer is only yours, my friend
Think about it, live it, my boy
Forget this story of here lies
Go away Satan, go away, let your brother go!
