The Fourteenth Moon
Tomorrow's night
The cicadas buzz, hurrying down the path of bush clover
The blue of your cheeks shines
As the petals fall
I love the fourteenth moon
Because tomorrow, hope still fills the sky
In the end, we realize we’re at a deserted station
Even if it fills up and empties out again and again
Let’s always be under today’s moon
Even if you and I keep passing each other
One day, we’ll meet under today’s moon
The summer whispers
Is it a dream or an illusion? The wind through the pampas grass
Whether it’s tying us together or taking our lives
If it’s not allowed
Let’s pray to the fourteenth moon
And hold onto memories that can’t be chased away
Even if the shadows carry you far away
Please, please, I hope you’re happy
No matter who sees today’s moon
Even if it fills up and empties out again and again
Let’s always be under today’s moon
One day, we’ll meet under today’s moon.
