El Día No Me Aviso
El Bordo
The Day Didn't Warn Me
-How are you? The night didn't treat you better than me...
You're not up for talking, not up for one more day,
You're not up for pedaling, not even imagining.
-I'm good, last night I had a little more
than I usually do, but it's because dawn broke
and in the sky I saw their eyes, pointing straight at me.
Walking among clouds I go
on paths of cotton.
Blind and round I am
the day didn't warn me.
I messed up, people looked without understanding
they said: you're not okay...
It's just that I don't have a watch, or coins to go back...
and I don't even know where I am!
The sun went down and there I was still lying there
unable to find the pair of black eyes in the gray sky
of that angel who, when smiling, there's no sadness near me.
