The Little Black One
If by chance a little black one
Steals a chicken
To throw it in the pot and cook a little stew
After the stew is ready
A little white one comes close and makes a fuss
He eats the stew and even steals the pot...
Praise, Christian praise, praise, praise
Listen, then the white one claims the chicken
Accuses the black one and causes a big fuss
They take him to court and leave him fried
And the poor black one has to pay for the chicken.
They say that the children from the East want to get fat
And those from the West are put on a diet
Oh, cursed injustice, listen to this cry
Because justice feeds on crime...
This world is not meant to stay
But there's no better one to move to...
When you see a black man dining
With a white man or the white man owes the black man
Or the black man's food
That's why...
So much, so much that they go to jail for stealing a chicken
And there are those who steal the whole farm
To them I say that nobody is watching...
They sent me to the moon
They say you can live there
But I don't believe that, sirs
Since there are no women
To stay
Despite all the bad things
I would like to remind you
That no matter how much you jump and kick
There's no better one, you have to settle for it
