Autorretrato
El Kanka
Self-portrait
I'm a child who grew up, my mother's son
Who one day became a singer, singing quite average
I'm the one who looked at the sea, when the world was upside down
Looking for some truth, drowning my shyness
I'm a man from Malaga, who left his planet
Leaving people, neighborhood, childhood, and more
I'm somewhat honest, I don't want to deceive you, I'm the best I can be
I'm the one who lived without faith, I'm the one afraid to fly
The one on the poster, with this bread-like face
I'm the one who cooks, the one who never knew how to love
I don't know what I did yesterday, because I never look back
I'm overwhelmed, a neurotic from a book
Mind in the clouds, and this fear of dying
I'm a fool, I just want to leave here, I'm the best I can be
I'm the one who avoids eye contact in the mirror
A fool who hides behind the guitar so they don't see him
I'm one of those who save the best for later
A sheep escaping from the flock, one way or another
And when I say goodbye to you all, say I was strange and always landed on my feet
Say I was good, or at least I tried, I'm the best I can be
