Sweet Dreams

I have an army of thoughts
Counterattacking my dreams and lacking meaning
There are hundreds and I have to set them aside
Because even though it's strange, they take me back to a past
Innocence marked my path
Where nothing mattered, each step was different
Instead today I am a prisoner of my destiny
And I must not dream of getting out of this labyrinth
For I always wake up and I am where I was
Embracing the result of an unsatisfied life
I express myself and even if nothing changes
I adapt my relief to the page in the form of an arrow
I shoot, hunt down the illusions
It's simple, I justify actions and opinions
Incomprehensible, I don't know, but there are reasons
When I want to achieve something, I put some balls into it
It's enough to act from the heart, sending strength
Looking for a reason to get up if you stumble
And start from scratch if you fall suddenly
Think, what doesn't kill me might be making me stronger
Dreams are the fruit of desire, a lie
Look, it's very easy to perish imagining
A beautiful life full of peace and resources
To prevent the aforementioned fruit from drying up
Dreams make you dizzy and victory blinds you
Merit drools seeing your dull state
You don't realize if life hits me
I step back but to gain momentum
Inspiration without seasoning is pumped
I have acquired wisdom in days of war
Nothing toughens if nothing challenges it
That's why I never confuse my dreams with my goals

Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody is looking for something

And I will continue to act like a fool for a long time
If that helps me learn not to mess up so much
Sometimes I run away, I have a coward inside
And it appears in moments where fear betrays me
I'm not made of stone, I'm a normal guy
Who doesn't follow all the rules and didn't know how to be formal
Sometimes I suffer internal injuries
That go, burying my calm to a bad awakening
Options?, I don't even know which ones I choose
I get too worked up and pretend I don't give a damn
I demand what I believe by capturing advice
My old man said, be strong son and left me the skin
In this, stop after stop
I am clear that in life nobody gives you anything
Every nod holds thousands of silences
To those who never show their face, always turn your back
Enigmas that consume you without more
You don't accept their mendicity and that's why they concern you
The future full of uncertainty
The world always imposes a series of customs on you
Work, save, learn to be sociable
Remember it, avoid being a nobody
Make the most of your time, that's what you're worth
And turn hours of sweat into material goods
What do you desire, buy it, you don't realize
Everything in sight is for sale
From people to the land you walk on
Behind every bill there are a thousand shattered dreams
I frame the moral in this part
Don't fall if life hits you
Get up and stop crying and lamenting
Don't dream and fight for what you desire
