the phone's ring
woke me up
heard her voice, and for a moment
couldn't even speak

guilt took over me
because by my side
sleeping in my bed
was the one who shouldn't find out

in a moment of confusion
my heart started being unfaithful
to the one who today
dared to call me

I wished the ground would swallow me
when she woke up
and asked who was calling
even though I wanted to answer, I said nothing

but she knew how to interpret very well
my silence and my way of acting
and the pain of being unfaithful
made her cry
