Sábado
El Puchero Del Hortelano
Saturday
Today I'm going to keep quiet because it's Saturday,
I'll leave for tomorrow what I have to say,
Because Sunday afternoons are sadder,
And much sadder they will be when you're no longer by my side.
I'll keep quiet, it's the weekend,
And Sunday morning when there's no alarm clock,
And you wake up disoriented and hungover,
I'll look at your pretty face and see if I have the courage.
That courage that one lacks when making decisions,
That make your legs tremble, that shrink your heart,
But it's inevitable in this life,
To take one path or another, to choose what's best.
Let things come out of my body that I've been holding inside for a long time,
Without knowing if it will be true, or certain, or better,
Than staying still and letting time pass,
And prolonging this moment even though its time has long passed.
I'm going to keep quiet because it's Saturday,
I'll leave for tomorrow what I have to say.
