Coplitas Del Corazón
El Vislumbre del Esteko
Heart's Little Verses
The distance and the forgetfulness
has made my voice sprout
some verses from Santiago
to soothe so much pain
And the kakuy on that branch
that as a child I could see
tears with its scream
a distant evening
One morning my soul
galloped through a field
without finding a rein
that tied it to a flower
And I went through the roads
with my guitar and my voice
singing the chacareras
that Santiago taught me
Those summer afternoons
when the sun with its heat
makes the spirit dance
in the wine of some singer
And the country moon
that in the sweet spilled
a saddened silence
for never kissing the sun
The distance and the forgetfulness
has made my voice sprout
some verses of feelings
that come from the heart
And I went through the roads
with my guitar and my voice
singing the chacareras
that Santiago taught me
