Convencernos

Convince ourselves that we are capable,
that we have what it takes and we have plenty of class.
Decide in our own field
and aim for more, never less.

Convince ourselves, not to be unbelievers
that the one who is convinced wins and convinces.
Not to feel false shame for what is ours,
to learn the taste of our own.

And be, at least once, ourselves,
without that shade of someone else's color.
Reclaim our identity,
stand on our own feet
grow until we achieve maturity.
And be, at least once, ourselves,
as ourselves, truly ourselves, as it should be...

Convince ourselves one day for real,
that not everything good comes from outside.
That we have style and a way,
that it's necessary to play it with everything we've got.

Convince ourselves, with strength and courage
that it's time and it's the moment to wear our suit.
To be ourselves forever, and by being so
convince ourselves and thus convince.

And be, at least once, ourselves,
without that shade of someone else's color.
