Who would choose David to be a king
So tiny, a peasant boy
Shepherd of sheep through the fields of Israel

But man looks and only sees the appearance
God goes beyond, for omniscience is His
He can see what man doesn't

He empowers the smallest when He wants to use
God doesn't look at appearance, doesn't see resistance
When He decides to operate
Contradicts human logic
For His will is sovereign

He takes the boy from the bush
Who was in anonymity
And gives him a nation to govern

God is like that, He is determined
Calls Samuel to anoint the chosen one
God brings into existence
What never existed
