Towards Abel of Beth-Maacah
The troops of Israel march
Led by Captain Joab
They march without any delay

The desire for bloodshed, for killing
Consumes their hearts
Ready to strike the whole city
Because of one man

Servants of Belial
Incite rebellion in Israel against David
His name was Sheba
A Benjamite who was there

And this wicked man seeks refuge
In that city
Causing the troops of Israel
To act with hostility

The strong walls of that city
Were attacked
Joab gave the order
To bring down the walls

And the frightened
Innocent inhabitants
Cried out: Oh my God!
Why do they want to annihilate us?

Then a wise woman
Cried out from within the city
Listen, listen, and tell Joab
Come here so I can speak to you
He approached her
And the woman asked him
Are you Joab?
He replied
I am Joab
Then she said to him
Listen to the words of your servant
It was once said
To seek advice in Abel
And that's how
The issues of many cities were resolved
I am one of the peaceful and faithful in Israel
And you seek to destroy a city
That is a mother in Israel?
Why would you
Devour the inheritance of the Lord?

Joab replied
It's not like that
I just want a despicable man
Who fled and hid here
Hand over Sheba
And I will leave the city in peace
And that wise woman
Replied thus

I will throw
The head of that man over the wall
I will speak to my people, wait a minute
And you will have what you want, that's for sure

And with leadership
She rallied the men of that city
To find the man fleeing from Joab
And they threw the despicable Sheba over the wall

In present days
Many people suffer like this
Under God's heavy hand
And they cannot discern

That the Lord wants
Them to remove Sheba from their lives
An evil that has long
Taken refuge in their hearts

Sheba in the believer's life
Is something he doesn't even realize
But every fleeing Sheba
Jehovah pursues

And the believer pays a high price
Without knowing why
And sometimes is on the brink of death
Without understanding

With wisdom
Cut off evil at the root
Call upon your God
And ask what He wants from you

Whatever it may be
In your life or in your home
Cast it out
And you will see everything calm down suddenly

Tribulation, often
Is God's demand on man
Who is seeking something hidden within
God is holy and does not accept contamination

Throw out Sheba at this moment
God is dealing with His people
Behead sin and receive renewal
The Lord desires holiness in the congregation
