Soberano Deus
Eliã Oliveira
Sovereign God
Job was at home
Everything was calm
A messenger has arrived
Bringing you the terrible news
Your cattle were plowing
Your flock grazing
Enemies arrived and they took your animals!
As he spoke
Another one said this
Fire fell from the sky
He burned everything he had
Only me left!
Another one arrives saying
A wind came to blow
The house collapsed
Your children died
I escaped to tell
In the face of all this, God still allowed
That the enemy touched your health and wounded you
And now his wife asks him
How can you? Keep your integrity
Curse your God and die!
Job answered him
You speak like a madwoman, no curse will be heard from my mouth!
Everything I had God gave me and wanted to take
Naked I came from my mother's womb
And it is naked that I will return there!
I know that my living redeemer is
And in due time he will rise
All this glory and grandeur
I just observed
When I passed the test
And I got closer to you
What I only heard from you
Now I can contemplate
Today I know that he lives in me
I see your glory everywhere!
In the valley
On the mountain
On the horizon
In the immense sea
In the wind that blows
In the sterile woman who can generate
In the shining star
In the Sun that appears bringing warmth
In the voice of the child who has in his mouth the perfect praise
Firm the earth upon nothing
Who can understand?
Makes clouds trap the waters
Without tearing or breaking!
I know that you can do anything
And none of your plans
They may be prevented
For you are sovereign God
He gave me back double
What the enemy took from me
I live to say
Blessed be the name of the Lord!
