Só o Senhor É Deus

When Moses went to free the people of Israel
He knew that those people belonged to God
Confidently he took the people out of Egypt
And Israel sang beyond the sea
Only the Lord is God

But Pharaoh, unsatisfied, went to pursue
With his weapons he tried to destroy the chosen people
When Israel crossed the Red Sea
And Pharaoh perished in the waters
You don't pursue what belongs to the Lord

Only the Lord is God!
Only the Lord is God!
The people of God sang victorious

Only the Lord is God!
Only the Lord is God!
With God there is no one who can
The victory is ours, Israel sang

All of Israel passed through the sea on dry land
In front of them marched firmly the Angel of the Lord
Well protected was the people of God marching
Singing the hymn of those who have already won
Only the Lord is God!

Pharaoh's tricks were of no use
With his army in the Red Sea, he slowly sank
It doesn't matter if someone tries to take away our peace
Our God is Great for Israel
And His power surpasses much more
