El Manantial

The Spring
Dreams don't pay the bills, Julio tells Jorge
Get real
We need money but we won't earn it sitting here
The drought is harsh, the cattle are dying
The harvest is lost
At this rate, we won't even have enough to eat
Jorge replies, 'I have an idea
See if you agree
Up in the mountains, there's a little plan
With a big spring
Early the next day, they climbed up the mountain
And started planting
The damn grass that has become popular everywhere
They managed the first harvest well
Luck was on their side
But they were caught in the second one
The feds came down on them
'Surrender,' they shout, but they didn't give in
And there they both stayed
The blood of those brave brothers
The spring took away
