The Little Gypsy
When she told me she didn't love me, I ran like a crazy man of sorrow and pain
I thought about ending my life, entered a cantina to give myself courage
Sitting at the table asking for tequila, a gypsy arrived and seeing me cry
She said don't cry, your pain is not great, I know the ungrateful one will come to beg you
I put my hand, she read my future, she said she will return, she can't live without you
Leave that sadness and go assured, what it says in your hand, you will be very happy
I gave her a coin, the gypsy left, I took a guitar and started to sing
I asked for more tequila, toasted with joy, I started to wait for her, wanting her the most
Days passed, months, years, and that hope of seeing her again
And my affection has already changed, nothing matters to me if she thinks of returning
I return to the cantina to drink tequila, I could shout and sing with joy
And thank the little gypsy who with her lies taught me to forget
