My Religion
Today my religion is based on making you smile,
Stopped going to mass, in rhyme I expose my premises,
I have time to change but I don't want to,
I have time to believe again but I don't believe.
It's my way of thinking, who's going to take it from me,
I believe more in my avatar than in what baltasar did,
And it's ugly and doesn't sound good, but I say it,
They have several reasons for us to be asleep.
I go distracted among psychological homicides,
It's not logical, that oceans are toxic garbage dumps,
That African children die of hunger,
And North American old people die of obesity and there are no culprits.
That Bush advocates for peace causing wars,
It enrages me, that the Vatican turns a deaf ear and doesn't see,
It's two thousand six, the situation is already pretty ugly,
And people still pee on you from the side.
And television wants me to believe it,
Documentaries about military intelligence, what intelligence is that?
Skepticism takes over my head,
As well as the idea of a future without certainties.

Because the earth responds to us with tornadoes and earthquakes,
Technological advances, meteorological changes,

We are soldiers fighting to live.
To be born, study, marry, work, then die.
We inherit religions without knowing their ideals,
The madness of this world seems natural to us.
More than 1 million poor people for every millionaire,
Priests violate minors allied with the devil,
Osama knocks down towers, bush looks for him and doesn't find him,
Homicidal attacks harass the entire planet.
And I don't defend religions or nations,
I'm not naive, my songs don't fix anything,
No one knows what to do because they don't give options either,
To shut up, be nobody, and endure the oppressions.
