El Poeta Lloró
Emilio El Moro
The Poet Cried
And the cat said to the cat
"For you I fight, little cat"
He wanted to play the trumpet
A sweet melody
When he was calmer
They threw a watermelon at him
He cried, the trumpet cried
And the trumpet cried
And the trumpet cried
He wanted to rob a store
That a street offered him
But when he saw that the owner
Was hitting him with a broom
He cried, and the trumpet cried
And the trumpet cried
And the crying trumpet
Give me a little cheese
I don't care about the push
In this world of grudges
Where everything is resentment
He wanted to think about the beauty
That a sausage would be
But when he saw that people
Also denied him this
He cried, and the trumpet cried
The trumpet cried
The trumpet cried
