On the mirror of the wind

Patroness of my songs

The Guárico with its palm trees
Where the llanera verse
Follows its tireless path

Venezuelan plain
And in my mind is portrayed
Your sovereign beauty

Loneliness accompanies me

The red afternoon sun
Over my singing plain
paints charming landscapes

Clouds of blue color

A flock of herons

The serene night arrives

Goodbye my dear plain

To roam the savannas
