Motivos llaneros
Eneas Perdomo
Llanero Reasons
On the mirror of the wind
I'm looking at the savannah
And I can't stand the urge
To tell her how I feel
To the Apurean plain
Patroness of my songs
There's no plain like Apure's
The Guárico with its palm trees
Where the llanera verse
Follows its tireless path
You know I'm your son
Venezuelan plain
And in my mind is portrayed
Your sovereign beauty
When I walk your paths
Loneliness accompanies me
I pay close attention
To the whispering of the palms
That play with the wind
Like lovers in love
The red afternoon sun
Over my singing plain
paints charming landscapes
embroiders the estuary in gray
Clouds of blue color
Cross the llanero sky
A flock of herons
Head towards the heronry
The serene night arrives
And spreads its black cloak
Goodbye my dear plain
I'm leaving but I'll be back soon
To roam the savannas
To revive the memories
That you left in my chest
Since I was little
When I'm far from you
I love you more dearly
You were my best teacher
In the school of singers
