The Rescue

From the main square of any place,
I write you a letter so you know
What you already knew, even if you didn't say it.
I hope it reaches your hands and you don't return it.

That you pay the ransom indicated below.
I also can't explain why I didn't come to you earlier.
But no one can save me, no one knows what you know,
And they wouldn't deliver what my ransom is worth.

There's no money, no castles, no guarantees, no checkbooks,
There's nothing in this world - though it may seem absurd -
Nor on undiscovered planets, what I ask of you here.
And I don't force you to anything you don't want.
My strength is failing, my legs don't respond;
They know you, but they don't reach you.

That's why I decided on a defense mechanism.
And as my soul is trapped, with enough calmness,
To be stronger, and face the truth as soon as possible,
Without hesitating for a second, I assume, only you can pay the ransom.

Give me back the love you took from me,
Or give it to them, it's the same to the undersigned;
Because there's nothing in this world - though it may seem absurd -
Nor on undiscovered planets, what I ask of you here.
And I don't force you to anything you don't want.
My strength is failing, my legs don't respond;
They know you, but they don't reach you.

And I don't force you to anything you don't want.
My strength is failing, my legs don't respond;
They know you, but they don't reach you.
