El Cielo Está Dentro de Mí
Enrique Bunbury
Heaven is Inside Me
At the top of the mountain
I stopped to rest
But I felt like I was leaving
Without moving from the place
My eyes got lost
In that vastness
And I forgot about myself
So much looking and looking
Suddenly the voice of loneliness
Asked me
If I was looking for heaven
And I answered maybe
Heaven is inside oneself
And hell is there too
The soul writes its books
But no one reads them
Sometimes one walks
Between shadow and light
A smile on the face
And a cross in the heart
Look for heaven within yourself
There you will find it
But it's not easy to find
Because there's much to fight
On lonely paths
I started walking
Outwardly seeking nothing
But perhaps inwardly
