The plaza for being the Plaza
Has one half of gold
And the other half of silver.
And the other half of silver,
The sun lights up on one side
And on the other it goes out;
On one side it's a fan
On the other half an orange.
Together they round off
The circle of the plaza
On a ground and in a sky
That are deserts of the soul.
That music, that singing,
That melodious echo
That we hear with our eyes
And with our ears we see.
That lonely sound
Of music, of silence,
That unheard invisible
Knowledge that is the taste of time.
That illusion of feeling,
Knowing and tasting the bullfight;
It's more than Romero and Paula,
Quintessence of bullfighting.
