Pedro Mendoza's Dive
Pedro Mendoza's dive
you're the soul of the port,
at every table the glasses
share the story of my passion.
The raspy voice of a drunk
sings to the dawn its anthem,
like that morning,
foggy and cold, when I left you.
It's been ten years since that night
when drunk on hate and wine,
destiny tried to lose me
and face to face, I found her.
I couldn't take it anymore and defeated,
I killed her against that door.
And since then I've been rolling
without faith, without a home, without hope,
I changed my name, I changed my face,
but I couldn't change my soul.
And like back then, calmly,
I gaze at your lines that fascinate me,
dive of the port, my only friend,
you're the witness of my pain.
Spoken:
Dive, here love was born,
that I lost because of a love.
